A Great Potential student from Mount Vernon High School
received the Regional Gold Medal for Playwriting through
her participation in the Afro-Academic Cultural, Technological
and Scientific, Olympics (ACT-SO). More She received
a scholarship of $200 from the NAACP to go to Philadelphia,
PA to compete on a national level. Great Potential is
proud of her participation in both competitions. Currently
she is applying to colleges to major in Drama Studies
or Creative Writing. She is proof that the Great Potential
Program works and we will continue to support her in
the college process.
